Beecroft Scholarship

Requirements

1. Applicants must have a declared major in the College of Humanities.
2. Applicants must be in their senior year.
3. Applicants must have a minimum 3.5 GPA.
4. Applicants may not have been awarded any other university scholarship.
5. Applicants must complete the entire application procedure by April 15, 2009.

Procedure

1. Download the Beecroft Scholarship application
2. Fill out all Personal Information (page 3).
3. Attach a short biographical sketch that mentions leadership experiences, extracurricular activities, service opportunities, and any academic honors you have received. Include a brief statement of your educational objectives and life goals. Limit your response to 250 words or less (page 4).
4. Fill out a graduation plan and have it approved in the Humanities Advisement Center.
   The form is available at the Humanities Advisement Center, 1175 JFSB.
5. Provide two letters of recommendation, one from a faculty member who knows you well and can provide an academic reference. Letters must be in a sealed envelope and attached to this application.
6. Turn in your completed application form by April 15, 2009.
   You must have the Check List completed and stapled on top of your entire application, or it will not be accepted at the Advisement Center (page 2).

Print the completed application form and turn it into the Humanities Advisement Center.
