Dunphy Family Background

We lived in Scotland until 1994, but always knew we might live in Germany sometime. So I spoke German to the children to give them some imput, and was delighted that David became completely bilingual on that basis. Since we have been living in Germany, I have begun to speak English with the older children sometimes, as David is now going to school in German and needs more minority language reinforcement at home. But I'm reluctant to drop German altogether, as we may move again, so I want to keep both languages in the home. I try to stay flexible and play it by ear. I'd be delighted if you put our info, including my e-mail address, on your page, as I'm always glad to hear from others in the same boat.
