Biography: J Paul Warnick, associate professor of Japanese is currently serving as head of the Japanese Section. He earned a B.S. degree in Computer Science and an M.A. degree in Language Acquisition from BYU and a Ph.D. in Japanese Linguistics and Pedagogy from The Ohio State University. He teaches courses in language, pedagogy, linguistics, literature and pre-modern Japanese. He has directed the Japan Study Abroad and Japan Internship programs for BYU. Dr. Warnick has taught in the intensive summer language program at Middlebury College and has been involved for many years in teacher training.
