Biography:

Professor Krause joined the faculty of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese in January, 2010. Shortly thereafter he completed a dual-emphasis PhD in Spanish and Portuguese at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. His interests include: 20th-century Brazilian literature, comparative Latin American literature, inter-American literature, and translation studies. His current research focuses on the reception of the Brazilian Modernist, João Guimarães Rosa, in the United States.
