Biography: Kylie Nelson Turley has taught Honors writing at BYU since Fall 1997. Her course is taught as a writing workshop. Her goal is to help students see how much better their writing can become through a rigorous, peer-reviewed drafting process.

In class, learning is accomplished through writing and re-writing, as well as meaningful peer critique, class discussions, teacher consultations, and individual and group activities.

Out of class, students research, write, rewrite and read. 90% of a student’s grade is determined by major papers, while 10% represents other activities and writing.
