Biography:

Billy Hall, Visiting Professor, recently received his PhD from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he completed a dissertation exploring the intersection of poetry, aesthetics, and technology in the eighteenth century. Among other areas, his professional interests include eighteenth-century poetry and poetics, Enlightenment studies, philosophy of technology, Media studies, and the history of aesthetics. He enjoys taking things apart, riding his bike (when it is not in pieces), campfires with his wife, and playing with his four children.
