(Students repeat the days of the week after the teacher. Then they repeat the following sentences.)

Today is Sunday. We're in Primary.

Saturday will be a special day for Amanda and her mother.

(Students ask each other the following questions.)

  1. What day do you go to church?
  2. What days are on the weekend (end of the week)?
  3. What day comes after Wednesday?
  4. What days do you work?
  5. What days do you go to school?
  6. What day comes before Tuesday?
  7. What day do you do laundry (wash your clothes)?
  8. What is your favorite day of the week?

Calendar

[Pointer] Practice and Repeat

(Students repeat the months of the year after the teacher. Teacher could bring in a calendar with appropriate pictures for the seasons.)

(Students ask each other the following questions.)

(Teacher calls out numbers and students place markers (can us M&M's) on cards. When a student gets five in a row, Bingo. She/he calls out the numbers until the next Bingo, when that student calls the numbers, etc.)
