Hi, I'm Juan. I think you know a little about me now. As you know, I'm from Venezuela. My wife died one year ago. It was hard for me, so I came to live with my brother and his family one month ago. |

Two weeks ago, I went to my first English class here. I was a little nervous, but the teacher made me feel comfortable. There were other students like me, learning English. Class is going to be fun. We sing and we study English there. I learned about a prophet. His name is Joseph Smith. |

The next week I went to the LDS church for the first time. I met some more people there. They call each other "Brother" and "Sister." A woman told a story from The Book of Mormon. It was about Lehi and Nephi. They had a lot of faith. |

I met the missionaries. There was a new missionary called Elder Hansen. I liked him a lot. I think he really liked me. He wanted to talk to me. But my nephew, Andres, wanted me to go to Primary with him. He said he was giving a talk. |

The children know a lot about God. I learned about a prophet, Samuel. He told the people to repent. I felt good inside. |

This church has many activities. On Saturday, we went to a special meeting called a baptism. A young woman and her daughter were baptized. One speaker talked about Jesus Christ. He was baptized by John the Baptist. I had a good feeling. I met Elder Hansen again. He tried to talk to me, but my niece, Jenny, wanted me to meet her friend. I really wanted to talk to Elder Hansen. |

The next day I went to church again, to Sunday School. My brother was teaching the lesson. Julio talked about the Holy Ghost. I felt a special feeling again. Afterwards, Elder Hansen finally asked me if I wanted to hear the missionary discussions. I said, "yes". |

I'm very interested and I want to know more about this church. Sometimes I miss my home in Venezuela, but I feel happy here. |
