Heather Willson received her PhD in linguistics from UCLA. Her research interests include syntax, language documentation and Marshallese, a Micronesian language spoken in the Marshall Islands. In addition to conducting fieldwork with Marshallese speakers in the Marshall Island and in the US, she has worked with speakers of Kiche, Pima and Chickasaw.
