Jack Stoneman received his Ph.D. from Columbia University in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures in May, 2006, his M.Phil. from Columbia University in Japanese Literature in October, 2002, his M.A. from Columbia University in Japanese Literature in May 2001, and his B.A. from Brigham Young University in Humanities & Japanese, double major, summa cum laude in December 1998. His research interests include Japanese literature--poetry, prose, and drama of all periods; Asian art history--especially literati culture, ceramics, and twentieth century Chinese painting; comparative literature as well as inter-dicsciplinary comparatives.
