Ping Zeng received her B.A. from Xi'an Foreign Languages University, China in 1982 in the field of English Language and Linguistics. She received her M.A. from University of Reading, Britain in 1989, specializing in cross-language semantics and pragmatics. She received her Ph.D. in Instructional Psychology & Technology at Brigham Young University in December 2005 with the emphasis on cultural influences on Chinese teacher evaluation. She has been involved in teaching Chinese Flagship program as well as department courses. Her professional interests include influences of small c-culture and social reform on language conventions, and second language acquisition.
