Robb is a graduate student in BYU's Linguistics and English Language department, although his graduate interests include English composition, instructional psycology & technolgy, and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). His thesis topic centers around language testing and writing exams.
In addition to teaching ENGL 115, Robb also teaches at BYU's English Language Center. Of the many crazy jobs Robb has had in his young life, teaching is by far the most enjoyable. Well, except for being a professional rodeo cowboy. But Robb gets saddle-sore rather easily, and teaching English generally does not involve a horse.
Robb enjoys moving around. He has studied at the University of Victoria on Vancouver Island, at Brigham Young University Hawaii, and at both the Technical University of BC and Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada.
Before attending university, he served an LDS mission in Europe. After completing his BA, he perfomed humanitarian work in South America, and then taught English in China before returning to North America to begin graduate school. He enjoys learning from and serving people from all cultures, including the exotic locale of Provo, Utah.
