Perspectives is an electronic journal published once each year as an effort of the Brigham Young University (BYU) Department of Germanic and Slavic Languages. Our aim is to provide a forum for students to share work amongst peers and gain valuable experience in the process of getting an academic paper published. Entries may include critical or personal essays, book reviews, or fiction which pertain to Germanic or Slavic language, literature or culture. Accepted entries are published in full in PDF or HTML electronic format.
The contents represent the opinions and beliefs of the authors and not necessarily those of the editors, our staff, our advisor, the Department of Germanic and Slavic Languages, Brigham Young University, or its sponsoring institution, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Graduate and undergraduate students are invited to submit their manuscripts to the Germanic and Slavic Languages Department Office (3112 JFSB, BYU, Provo, UT 84602). Please refer to the submission guidelines for more information.
