Language Proficiency Grants
Oct 7, 2010The Center for Language Studies has been notified that its proposal to develop standardized, computer-delivered Spanish and Chinese proficiency tests has received $1,382,000 in funding from the U.S. military academies. Test development will be accomplished by a BYU-led consortium that includes the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages and the Center for Applied Linguistics as subcontractors. Other research funding will be used to develop similar tests in other languages at the same time.
