A Battle of Words

The Departments of English and Linguistics and English Language held their annual Scrabble tournament, with English taking home the trophy.

PROVO, Utah (March 3, 2016)—It was the English Department versus the Linguistics and English Language Department in the most challenging field of battle known to academics: Scrabble. The two departments met together for their annual Scrabble tournament, with students facing off against each other in a series of speed matches.

This year’s tournament ended with the English Department taking home the coveted trophy, which will sit in the department office until next year’s rematch. There are sure to be students ready to defend and reclaim the title.
