AML Conference Lodging

There are several hotels and motels in the vicinity of BYU; the following are recommended, and some have preferential rates for conference participants.

Comfort Inn University
1555 Canyon Rd.,
Provo, UT 84604
Phone (801) 374-6020
Toll-free (800) 228-5150
Special Deals or Group Rates: A special rate is given for BYU related events or activities.
Rooms & Rates: With the BYU rate a room will cost $53/night + tax; rooms will contain either 2 queen-size beds or 1 king; Doubling up is not necessary; they will put 1 person in a 2-bed room.
Shuttle to BYU: No shuttle is provided because the hotel is within walking distance to BYU.
Reservations: 10 rooms have been reserved for March 21-24. You would need to call the hotel and confirm your reservation with your credit card by March 1. This reserved bloc of  rooms will expire on March 1. Mention that you would like one of the rooms reserved for that date for the BYU conference sponsored by the English Department. These ten rooms will be available to whoever reserves them first.
There may be other rooms available for that date, and all reservations should be made as soon as possible because this hotel is the busiest one for those dates, and they have very few openings. They offered no local email address or fax number, so you will probably have to directly contact the hotel.
Breakfast: They serve a continental breakfast (a traditional, but nice continental breakfast).

Most of their rooms are non-smoking, but they do have a few smoking rooms.

Contact Jim Daniels if you have further questions about special arrangements.
