The College of Humanities has appointied Daryl Lee as the new chair of the Department of French and Italian.
PROVO, Utah (June 14, 2018)—Associate professor of French and Italian and former International Cinema codirector Daryl Lee has been appointed as the new department chair for French and Italian as of June 2018. Lee will be replacing Corry Cropper, who has served as chair for the past nine years.
Lee says of his time with International Cinema, “Those three years have been fulfilling, working with fellow Humanities folks but reaching out to students across the campus. I’ll be sad for that to come to an end.”

On his new appointment Lee says, “I’m thrilled to be of service to my colleagues in French and Italian—they have a wonderful commitment to the university. We enjoy a special sense of community and I’m happy to carry on the department’s great tradition of teaching and scholarship, attributable in part to the high standards and creative thinking of the outgoing chair.”
